Everything has been working just fine for a year and all of a sudden I have started seeing the message "the provisioning profile is expiring soon" when using the free personal account to rebuild my iOS projects. Thanks for the quick reply. Did you discover this through experimentation or is it officially documented somewhere?
After it began being reported here anecdotally, I looked for docs and came up dry wasn't the first time I was unable to find details on the topic, which is what led me to document the process for replies here. I'd love to know why it's been an available process for a while now without process docs Must have been a silent change to deal with abuse? Is it possible to get a step by step instruction how to create a provisional profile or how to add a new one to an existing one?
I'm new in all these stuff and couldn't find anywhere how to make it. After you add your account, it will show within the main account window on the right. You may have to 'fix issue' more than once - keep at it so Xcode can step thru them as needed. Free accounts may experience issues launching apps on the watch for the first time.

Well i think the team profiles are a year, the ones that u just create are months, also if you creat adhoc ones then those last a year — Daniel. None of the Provisioning Profiles on my device expires that fast. The Team Provisioning Profiles expires in a year from when I created them, and the profile named like my app is expiring a year from when I edited it a few days ago.

It seems the provisioning profiles used to last several months but mine have exipired twice in the last week. I went in and did Fix Issue in XCode and reloaded apps to my devices but they've expired again a week later. Now I see after fixing it again, it looks like they are set to expire in another week. Anything in particular I need to do to get them last months instead of a week? I just walked thru the free prov process, and the result was a profile that expires 5. I hadn't before but I just did now and reloaded them with no difference.
I definetely need my apps to run for a few months.
