When you finish the 40 Hour Famine, ease your way back to normal eating by having something light and healthy. Try to take it easy during the 40 Hour Famine weekend.

And please make sure to inform a parent or care giver if you feel unwell. The money you raise will help support hungry children and families through food, cash and voucher distribution, food for work and school meals programs. These life-changing activities will support people in vulnerable countries including Kenya, Uganda, Somalia, Ethiopia, Sudan and South Sudan.

You truly can make a difference. To donate to your fundraising campaign all donations must be received online via a debit or credit card transaction. If you are hosting the event as part of your school or church, it is likely to already have public liability insurance. Please discuss this with your school or church administration before proceeding. This year, the World Vision 40 Hour Famine will be taking place from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th June , but if those dates don't suit you, you can pick ones that do. Collect your sponsorship money, and make sure it is all banked as soon as possible. These donations will appear approximately days after banking. Alternatively, you can transfer all funds raised directly into the World Vision 40 Hour Famine account number: as soon as possible. You will put food on the table for children who go entire days without eating. You will plant seeds that grow into vegetables to feed whole families for months and years to come. You will give families chickens to provide daily eggs and organic fertiliser for fast-growing crops.

Should donations exceed the World Vision 40 Hour Famine project needs, excess funds will support other projects reaching children in urgent need. The easiest way to fundraise for the World Vision 40 Hour Famine, is with your own online fundraising page.

Set up your own personalised fundraising page , which you can link to your school or church team to reach your fundraising targets together. Share your fundraising page with your friends and family - you could even ask them to share the link on to their friends and family, or people they know would also love to support you.
